As we step into April, we at Niyama Sol are thrilled to embark on a journey of giving back and spreading love throughout our community. This month, we're excited to introduce our partnership with Project 150, an organization that works tirelessly to support homeless and disadvantaged high school students in the Southern Nevada area.
High school is already a challenging time for many young individuals, but for those facing homelessness and economic hardship, the obstacles can seem insurmountable. Project 150 recognizes this reality and has been a beacon of hope for these students since its inception.
Founded in December 2011, Project 150 emerged from a realization that over 7,500 students in the Las Vegas Valley were experiencing homelessness while attending school. What began as a response to a local news report highlighting the struggles of 150 homeless students at Rancho High School quickly transformed into a full-fledged initiative to provide ongoing support to these vulnerable youth.
The heart of Project 150 lies in its mission to offer free support and services to homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged high school students, ensuring they can remain in school and graduate. From providing basic necessities like food, clothing, and school supplies to offering mentorship and guidance, Project 150 strives to create a supportive environment where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed.
At Niyama Sol, we're honored to stand alongside Project 150 in their efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these young individuals.
